Riverside Coach Jesse Gonsalez Lopez Arrested on Suspicion of Unlawful Sexual Contact with Students

A Riverside County high school coach was arrested for allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with students. The suspect was identified as Jesse Gonsalez Lopez, 27, from Perris, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

In August 2024, a school resource deputy with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Perris Station, responded to a high school in the 100 block of Nuevo Road in the city of Perris to investigate allegations that Lopez was having inappropriate sexual  sexual contact with students. 

Investigators determined that Lopez, a 27-year-old resident of Perris, had inappropriate contact with students. On October 10, 2024, Gonsalez Lopez was arrested in the city of Perris by investigators and was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for child annoyance, sexual battery, and lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.
