Teacher and Youth Soccer Coach Justin Yasutake Arrested for Child Pornography Possession

Justin Yasutake, a 39-year-old Pasadena man who worked as a teacher and girls soccer coach for two decades ,was arrested after Arcadia police discovered child pornography on his electronic devices. Yasutake was taken into custody without incident in front of his Pasadena home and booked at the Arcadia Police Department jail for possession of child sexual abuse material, according to police.

The investigation began November 11, 2024, when an unnamed person reported receiving suspicious social media messages. The messages contained inquiries about juvenile girls, along with videos of a person performing lewd acts while viewing images of juvenile girls, police said.

Investigators reportedly connected Yasutake to the online conversations and obtained a search warrant for his electronic devices. The search allegedly revealed numerous videos and images showing underage girls engaged in sexual activity, leading authorities to obtain an arrest warrant, Arcadia police said in a statement.

Arcadia Detectives reported that Yasutake has worked as a juvenile girls’ soccer coach and teacher for approximately 20 years.

“Based on the fact Yasutake has had access to underage girls, there is a possibility he has victimized girls that have not come forward and reported inappropriate behavior,” Arcadia police said.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Arcadia Police detectives at 626-574-5188, referencing case number 2404863.
